Patient Notice

In line with our contractual requirements, we are hereby informing all of our patients that you have been allocated a named, accountable GP. This does not mean that you have to see that particular GP. Please ask for details when you next contact the surgery.

Dr Hussain and Partners are independent contractors to the NHS, working under a General Medical Services contract to provide Primary Care. Primary Care is the care provided by people you normally see when you first have a health problem e.g. doctors, dentists, opticians and chemists.

The Practice is a member of the St. Helens Clinical Commissioning Group (CCG)

One of the major changes currently being undertaken by the NHS is the transfer of budgets to GPs. A CCG is a group of GP practices in the same area that join together to commission, change or discontinue services for the benefit of their patients and others living in the local area.
It is anticipated that, from April 2013, most of the health services you might expect to get through your GP practices will need to be organised by the CCG for patients.

Earlestown and Burtonwood doctors surgeries provides the highest quality healthcare to patients in the area. Our doctors, nurses and all our other staff are dedicated to offering a professional service and this surgery website will help us to keep all our patients up to date with news and information about our practice.

As a practice we aim to offer a personal, traditional and particularly caring form of general practice to our patients and their families. We feel that this is one of the particular strengths of our practice. With a patient list size of over 8,200, our philosophy is to be part of the local community and provide an all round range of health care facilities for all.

As well as a source of information about our practice, the staff and the services we provide, we hope you will use this website as a useful resource for other health-related information. Please have a look around and do send us some feedback if you like. We can use your ideas to improve our online services and further develop the content of this site.

From time to time we train medical students from Liverpool University and feel this is an important part of our work. If you do not wish a student to be present during your consultation could you please advise the reception staff. This will not affect your medical care in any way.

Just a few examples of the comments we have received are:-

The attention and care giver by all staff at this surgery is first class. Nothing is too much trouble and all queries, concerns are dealt with swiftly and efficiently. (Aug 2015)

Whenever I need to attend the Doctors I have always been treated with courtesy and help. (Aug 2015)

Although I don't need to attend for appointments very often, when I do I feel as though I have been well treated and listened to by all concerned - receptionists, nurses and Doctors. Overall it is a very good service. (Jun 2015)
